William Dupree

William grew up in a Scouting family learning to love canoeing, camping, and all things outdoors.

Snow skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking are some of his favorite activities. Working at a local outdoor shop he was introduced to whitewater canoeing and that became his primary passion.

William was asked to start guiding paddling trips, so his boss signed him up for a wilderness medicine class and that was the start of a new direction.

William joined his local paddling club and was encouraged to challenge for a canoeing instructor certification with the ACA. CPR and Wilderness First Aid are required to maintain the certification and he volunteered to help the instructor with those courses, eventually becoming a qualified co-instructor.

This led to working in Swift Water Rescue/wilderness medicine courses for firefighters, game and fish officers, Sheriff departments, and other organizations.
