Trey Walker has been with SOLO Southeast since March of 2024 and has been the manager since June of 2026. Trey is currently an NR-EMT and a WEMT and instructs all levels of SOLO Courses with over 1,000 hours logged in the classroom.

Trey grew up in North Georgia and has always loved the outdoors. Through Scouting, Trey developed a love for backpacking, paddling, and just about everything in the outdoors. Trey’s professional career began as a Wilderness Canoe Guide in the Boundary Waters. After a few summers up north, Trey became the Associate Director of Program for Northern Tier High Adventure. In this capacity, he oversaw all Canadian and Winter expeditions. While overseeing two expedition canoe bases, one in Ontario and one in Manitoba, and an extreme cold weather camping program in northern Minnesota, Trey saw a wide array of wilderness emergencies. Trey also guided trips and served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University. In this capacity, Trey wrote the university's risk management protocols. It was during this time that Trey decided to pursue a career in wilderness medicine and risk management

When not in the classroom or the office, Trey enjoys paddling his Spud with his wife Susie and his dog Bob. Trey hopes to see you join in an upcoming SOLO class so you can be prepared for whatever comes your way!
