Sydney found a passion for whitewater during college, becoming a raft guide in 2014 in Washington State.

Since then, Sydney followed her love for all things outdoor adventure by guiding a variety of activities (such as rock climbing, kayaking, and survival skills), and moved to the East coast in 2019.

Drawn to the area for the rivers, Sydney enjoys whitewater kayaking most in her free time, as well as climbing and snowboarding. For the past three years Sydney has worked as a Ski Patroller during the winter months, where she has developed her knowledge and experience in emergency response and wilderness medicine.

Prior to joining the SOLO team, Sydney worked in an adventure therapy program with high-school aged students. Sydney is always looking to learn and grow, and is enthusiastic about sharing that experience with others.
