Colt comes to SOLO with the goal of making wilderness medicine accessible and inclusive for all, holding space for diverse backgrounds to feel empowered and safe in a backcountry setting.
Colt worked in substance use treatment for 4 years, guiding young adults and adolescents through various outdoor adventures and expeditions, and held a position as an Adventure Program Manager, training staff in wilderness skills and trip leading.
Colt is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and Master’s in both Social Work and Outdoor Leadership, where he hopes to continue using the backcountry as a place of learning and healing.
The outdoors has given them access to an intrapersonal intrinsic motivation, community, and an ability to share the joys and love of the outdoors.
Colt is currently exploring and enjoying the world of whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and dirt bike trail riding.
